From FB:
"An update on our Fort St. Vrain eagle cam which is located in Platteville, Colorado. This cam was one of the first eagle cams initiated by Bob Anderson in collaboration with Xcel Energy in 2003. Right now, the cam is offline because Xcel needs the bandwidth for their employees who are currently working from home. The many FSV fans have missed seeing the nest and eaglets, and are grateful that some Xcel staff has been able to share a few photos. Of the three eggs that were laid in mid-February, 2 hatched on March 26 and March 29, becoming the 41st and 42nd eaglets of Ma and Pa FSV. This nest has had its share of difficulties and heartbreak for watchers, especially with spring snowstorms. The eaglets endured an Easter snowstorm, but unfortunately, very cold overnight temperatures and a snowstorm that brought over a foot of snow to the area on April 16 took the life of one of the eaglets.

The nest is huge; over 6 foot wide by 5 foot deep, sitting high in a cottonwood tree, along the South Platte River. Ma and Pa have been dedicated and devoted parents, providing a variety of food items for their hungry eaglets, including fish, prairie dogs, rabbits, and sometimes turtles. We hope the remaining eaglet will thrive to fulfill his/her destiny in the sky.

Thanks to Elaine Tregenza Burritt for photos of Ma and Pa FSV!"
