Here's the fly-off....it happened so fast...I hurriedly opened the ledge cam from the OHIO page...and I swear, I saw the first fly-off on that cam...

I think this is the second fly-off...gosh...my head's spinning...and I could kick myself that I didn't have the sound up OR see "them" land....I was busy doing something else...

Fingers crossed!!!

It sure sounds like 2 falcons to me. Sounded like they sounds were coming from different distances from the mic.

Maybe someone should email Donna the link and let her listen to it.

That's wonderful news..I hope someone is trying to romance Scout, she's been alone for awhile now. I wonder if it's that migrating falcon that was there a few months ago, maybe he remembered Scout and came back for her... :smilegirl:

That's the kind of noise she was making the other day, kind of an excited in a good way sound, and she had just come out of the box then too. Can't say I heard 2 distinct birds then for sure but I think it sounded like it this time. Dang, I wish I had been watching. Glad you caught it.

I think it is two falcons too!!!!! :hearts: Plus, isn't that sound the lovey dovey talk? Would a single falcon be making lovey dovey talk? I don't think so. Oh, this is the best news I've heard in a long time!!! :beathrt:

I was so busy with Peter and watching the owl cam and shepherdstown, that I neglected this one. I will watch when I can tomorrow.

That would be great would it not. :arrhrt:

I listened to it a few times and I agree, it does sound like two falcons. :loveshow:
Wouldn't that be great!
Don't think we will see much of Scout and her possible boyfriend today, it's snowing. Looks like dust, blowing over the smooth surface of the ledge.
Same stuff that is falling here right now.

I can't believe that I missed the excitement this week - I have been very busy here at work; I was downtown early this morning before the sun came up and I heard falcon calling near the Huntington and Rife Center; I did not see anything. Perhaps Scout was tucked into a warm place waiting for the sun to come up. I sure hope we have a mate in town - Donna said to be patient and not panic that a mate could come around at any time. She probably has more than one suitor to choose from, we just have not seen them yet. who could resist such beauty!! I will have to keep my video recorder going now all day just in case we have a visitor of the opposite sex!
