They look to be about the age when Jersey City fledged. I bet Arnold is having one big FIT!! Somebody go up there and tell them later is better.

The natives are getting restless...I think today is either day 38 or 39....I wonder when they will "open the gates"!!! We'd better enjoy them while we can...

Just checking in on the kids...I think there must be a parent nearby...they all keep looking in the same direction...

Thanks for the pictures, SGB. They sure are looking grown up and must be close to fledging!

If tomorrow is the day for the MacGyver rig, please take lot's of pictures. I had to be away from the site today and looks like a part of tomorrow. Do not want to miss out on the excitement. I enjoy checking into this site to see how these three are doing and feel like I'm not missing out on anything because of your great reports and pics. Tks so much.

Yes, I noticed how dark they all had become and was wondering how soon -- today? Geez, if I remember last year correctly it took forever for it to work and then they just disappeared...so disappointing for sure.

Window is refreshing too slow today! But when I got it I caught this one which when she went back into the scrape I realized it was ETHEL getting stir crazy.

Besides I don't believe they have anyone on the ground to watch out for falling falcons??? And we get very, very few reports....like one was seen hanging on the side of a building!!! :o

Well, while they are there still (I don't see the yellow thing myself)...I will wish them a long & healthy life and safe flying.

Joanne.......Thanks for your early a.m. pics. I agree the reload rate is really slow but now I know it's not my computer. Once it gets going though it's fine.

On the Aug. 1 post DGIF stated, "When the chicks have fully developed and are capable of flight, a remote door-opening mechanism will be installed on the pen. The door will then slowly open, allowing the chicks to fledge without human intrusion."
Is the MacGyver rig considered the remote door opener? Never saw a pen being used so this is all new to me.

I don't see any jump wires or whatever??? Where did they go?

Suz, this is the genius of our biologists...I've seen it once before 2 years ago.
With the window refreshing hardly at all I don't think we'll see much unless they fix that.

All I do is REFRESH!
