I too am a little puzzled by the news of a new nestbox close by. WOuldn't you be invitng trouble from new falcons?
But part of me would be happy if D&S would move to that one, the location/orientation is better, less sun glare. Could improve the camera image too (if cameras were to be installed there) .

I don't care where they nest as long as the cams follow them..I can't see them moving since its so much lower than their current ledge...but, who knows..

Of course, I never thought the Gulf falcons would move either, but they did year before last. I sure hope they don't do that again this year now that they have installed the brand new HD cam at their box..

He's in the box squeaking away now but she remains on the ledge.


I always thought adding an awning of some type to this box would have helped with that sun issue, or even turn the box to another angle.

Spark still in there, must be working on the scrape.

Need to add Emily & Fredrick to the falcons who unexpectedly moved. :girlsad3:

Emily and Fredrick are another falcon pair in Australia..They nested for years on Robyn Hill's balcony...except, this year they moved... :girlsad3: However, they did bring the kids to visit Robyn. Emily has her own FB page...3 chicks this year...
