As I said this morning, Ecco and Carla did some bonding together at the nestbox! Then I also saw on Kate St, John’s blog that Carla and Ecco have been seen together many times! YAY!

Ecco is snoozing at the nest box. He woke up, scanned the sky and hopped down into the nestbox. Seems to bee checking out the nest box and doing some pebble picking....

Major bonding session at Pittsburgh! Lots of bowing and beaking! Finally Ecco slipped away, leaving Carla to do some nestbox straightening And working on a scrape. It would be too late this year to try to have babies, wouldnt it?

Ive seen Ecco here 3 times by himself since I last saw them together. And just now Miss Carla is visiting the nestbox. She lingers in the back of the nest box as if she wishes she could lay an egg... ( I know probably not but it Looks like it....
