Thank you. Glad you saw someone. :eggthumb:

Barbara who is one of the moderators of the group says Val is still laying eggs, nearby and watching over the nest.

I'm going to trust her since I think she watches from the ground also. That would be a good outing right now!

ETA: Now that there's just enough light, I can see the silhouette of a falcon on the ledge

And at 6:43AM PT, I can hear them calling back & forth to each other.

Thanks mwplay. If Val is still there, I wonder if we're missing a male.

You're probably right.. I did hear them calling back & forth to each other earlier. She turned around a bit ago and her crop looked empty - concave.

Maybe we do have a new male. That might explain why the eggs were uncovered for so long. If it was "Dan", I would think he would be close, or covering the eggs. And the eggs were moved from yesterday to this morning.

So, yes, she's close by, but not incubating yet because she may have to hunt for herself & adjust to this new male.

It's 7:53am & I don't think he has brought her any food yet. She's just out of cam range now as she walked down the ledge to the right a bit ago.

Somewhat same scenario going on in SJ.

Thanks mwplay. Glad you heard 2.

Cam has since moved off the ledge and eggs are alone...and have been since I posted the above pic.

I'll keep checking in throughout the day in hopes of catching or hearing at least 2.

Male just approached.... He came in for landing, she went over, thinking food....

He immediately flew off & landed across the street on ledge.

She was crying for food.

They just panned cam, but if they zoomed in, they'd see him on the other side, directly across.

He just flew off ledge 8:27am... She's still here.

Good catch. It was so quick, i didn't even see him land. I must have been zoomed in on the screen. I just saw the approach, knew someone had landed on ledge based on her approaching so quickly.

Great, more turmoil.....

He landed just out of cam view (only caught a wing) and took off after she approached with outstretched wings. That was the only full bodied pic I got.

I missed it, but apparently she has laid her 4th egg, just after the scuffle

Female on ledge at 8:56am. That youngster could have been young female?

That makes sense...instead of trying to lure "him" in, maybe chasing off a female? But, it looked smallish to me...but, have not gotten a decent view of it.

Jim, who captures video for the cam, caught this....

Since Val didn't chase the Juvi away this time, maybe it's a male?

That was a great catch...thanks for sharing the vid, mwplay

I just opened the cam and before it went live, it displayed this pic:

This youngun' definitely looks male, based on size and the high pitched vocals on the vid!!

Jim caught another video - which contains the picture you got.

I think he wants her to join him in flying. If you watch the video all the way through, you can see him fly past the ledge & vocalize to her, then he flies out to the big white building across the way, closer to the bridge.
