Val is incubating. I do believe new male will show interest. If young, all he needs to do is provide food. I am a positive thinker so we will wait. I do not post the group there anymore as they are too close minded. As soon as I can hook my computer up, I will post pictures, but I try and check a few times on iPad.

Opinions please...

Here's my take on this video... scroll towards end (9:27) to see both birds interacting.

Yesterday, we saw 3 birds. 1 in air. 1 was near nest box (we only knew it because it flew out from there) and Val on ledge.

Jim captures this video.

When I look at this, I don't see a male & Val. I think this is a Juvi female...look at flared tail... no bowing to each other... more like stand off.

Is it possible we've got a juvi brother & sister flying around together?

Other interactions with him, had him bowing to Val... I don't see that here.

She apparently wanted a break from the eggs, and since he's new, he doesn't know enough to get on the eggs.

At first I thought female juvenile as I had seen Val’s tail flare. Unless it poses a real threat, Val appears to be just monitoring. If it had moved forward , I think we may have seen something different. Juvenile was cornered so as Val moved forward it flew. It did look smaller when it flew, but must remember ,when they are in different places, from cam, sizing appears different. Closer to cam, larger. I have not been at computer as not hooked up, but from my experience, adults do not feel threatened by juveniles at first. ( if same sex) But will give chase if they become pesky. For this reason, I am thinking this may be a male, and it is not quite at ease with Val and not in same hormonal cycle.. Val did not move forward in attack mode. So we will have to wait and see. I would like to see cam placed more where you can always see box and ledge. Then we may have a few more answers.
When you mentioned in another video, you only knew a Falcon was at box, because you saw it fly out. Is it possible, the falcon you saw fly by, came in on other ledge and went to box out of view, thus only 2.
Food for thought ,for sure

Thanks Bev..

Even though that juvi is here, I think she's still advertising her availability.....

He's close & she's calling. I know she's trying to get him in line to start bringing her food, etc. But I wonder if some other adult passerby might take her up on the offer.

It's a ghost town in SF right now, so I bet her calls are really traveling since they are not competing with cars/sirens/people, etc....

Hope your move is going well. Thanks for taking a look at that.. Always appreciate your opinion and input.

Since PG&E now sponsors/owns the cam, I'm not sure how much of the cam control is done by volunteers. I'm thinking it is done by PG&E employees who have a primary job with the company and may move the cam on occasion?

Just not sure of the set up any longer.

Maybe if things settle down, they will pull view back to ledge & nest....

Vennie over on the SF Peregrine groups.io captured a possible prey delivery from the young one to Val.

She said, "Val had been on the ledge for a while. I heard peregrines calling out and ran to screen to find who I think is the young tiercel arriving at nest area with prey. That's where the video starts. The prey was given to Val. Pretty cool."

So, maybe there have been other bonding sessions in the box when we haven't been able to see what's going on. Hopefully, he did bring her this gift and is now coming into cycle with her.

I am not worried like others are here. See just a tail in box, do not know who. These eggs can be delayed. The young male is bringing food gifts . His cycle is not in sync with hers so we cannot expect more than what he is doing

12:09 bonding at box area, male flew, female rolled eGs and is incubating.
12:25 female on ledge. This is all that is needed right now.

She's been gone and the eggs uncovered for about a hour. Guess this is what meant by "delayed", Bev.
