:hithere: This falcon seems to be sleeping at the nestbox again. Does that mean anything- is it injured ? Just doesn't seem a falcon sleeps at its nestbox if all is well?

Hello everyone!!! The missing head feathers is a question I have too. This is Ella. As I zoomed that day to check the bands. Tornado is still here and quite healthy. So for Ella, could it be mites/lice doing this? Also her eye has always been like this. The inside lid only opens now and then. Seems cloudy. When I see it open, Maybe blind in that eye???

I watched for a bit last night and she was huddled in the corner. Gone this morning.

Thanks for the info DINA. :loveheart:

Her eye looks very cloudy, I would also say she may be blind in that eye.

:6snowflake: Ella is checking out her snowy nestbox. I see now, that the reason she turns her head so much is that the one eye may be blind....

For several years before Kinney at Indy Market Tower died, we suspected that he only had one good eye.
