Warren

A little storm or squall went through and Mom had a visitor, a juvenile male not banded. She let him stay until it passed over and then he got a little brave. I missed when he arrived, he was there for maybe 25 minutes.

Someone adding more gravel to the box this morning, the peregrines weren't happy about him being there of course!

Grand Haven may have lost its egg. Snow, no falcon, and I don't see an egg..

She's in the box now but it looks nasty there and the camera is really not streaming you have to refresh.

It looks like the egg got stuck to the falcon. You can see that ice is sticking to it's wings and back. And when it left the box, the egg was carried along and most likely fell down.

Thanks for those vids, Hanny!! I agree, Ingrid. Looks like it must have stuck to Mom. Poor Dear. It seemed that ice really made her restless. I sure hope that nest can thaw...or at least they need to work on thawing a scrape. Its time for another egg..

I've read in several places that these storms, the current one and ones in the past, have really been creating issues with animals. They've had to rescue several eagles due to heavy layers of ice on backs/wings and the eagles have been unable to lift off from the ground..Once thawed out, they were usually fine.

RE: Copper

Mom was in the box last night and again tonight. Too dark to know if there is an egg...
