They zoomed in. Not sure if they were trying to get a closeup of the chick or this egg.

Hello from Utah. We may have a new nest, not actually Salt Lake City but a suburb, Murray. Bob Walters has been watching a pair on the Intermountain Hospital building where a nest was installed many years ago. There is a pair rotating, appearing to to drop down in box and incubate. He can just see top of head above the front board. No web cam. First noticed pair in early May but this behavior started early June. Nest faces northwest. This is very late for the heat in our valley, but we have had a very cold spring. Do you want this over at SLC thread? I don’t see a 2020 thread. You can also follow updates on Twitter @slcfalcons

Davis Medical- At first I thought no one was there, but in looking at the “Hall of Fame Archives” one likes to sit on the ledge, on the other side of the railing. Looking again, one did fly on to the ledge and then hopped down in the nestbox to spend a few moments, the back up onto the ledge.

DAVIS

:5snowflake: I watched a zoom presentation with 2 men from Sacramento talking about this nest...A couple things I learned were: the female is unbanded but has been at this nest for about 5 years ( he knows her by her color patterns) The man, a doctor at Davis who enjoys observing her, says she is a very good mom, very calm and a good provider. He said the current banded male replaced the previous male 2 years ago. No information was give about his bands. They estimated the female is about 8 years old, and the male is 3 years old. This pair remains in Sacramento all year. I’d love to hear any additional info anyone might find....

This probably is a unique event; snow piling up in the nestbox in Austin-Texas

Seattle: Falcon on the ledge, I think female. And I think there was a second falcon flying around. Maybe a male?
