these chicks are not getting enough to eat as male will not get up when she comes in with prey and she is trying to fee d them while he i s brooding. . When he leaves , she covers them and then he comes and takes leftover food. they may be a new pair????

she just cannot win. male brings in prey , she moves aside to gt it, he goes on eggs, she puts down prey to move him and he picks up prey and leaves. man.

hopefully they get this straightened out soon.

3 on april25th
one hatched yesterday, to make 4

they have figured this out now. dad leaves now and mom can come and feed. it has been a treat watching these 2 their dynamics are cute

here dad gives mom a few bites :15heartbeat:

It is now thought to be an accident; the male stepped on a chick and caused a fatal wound. And they say it was not the smallest/youngest one.

Two full, two to go, although I got a glimpse of one of the other chicks and his crop was full to, and the one next to him kept turning around away from the parent apparently full also.
