Kids are lounging on the edge of the nestbox, as Rana is sticking out her leg with the red tape making her easy to spot…

More Facebook news:

Apparently Scuttle "slipped" off the ledge and fluttered to the ground yesterday. She was rescued and found to be in great health...was returned to the roof of the nest building...sounds like she was returned this morning..

Sadly, according to CPF, Rana was found deceased on Mississauga Executive Center property…..Meanwhile Scuttle had made her way from the roof of the building (where rescuers had placed her), back to the nestbox to join her sister Dragon Heart. However Scuttle made another attempt at fledging and ended up on the ground and being returned to the roof by rescuers….

Another sad post about this nest. Yesterday they lost a second fledgling. Scuttle, black 21/AB, flew into a building with reflective windows and passed away. Now one fledgling is left, Dragon Heart, black 23/AB, with blue tape on her leg. May the peregrine gods steer her away from those deadly windows…

I messaged CPF, asking for any information about this nest. Sadly, Cathy said she observed the Mississauga nest for 2 hours, and there was no peregrine activity, only pigeons and crows. So they are pretty certain there are no eggs present.
