Emyrauld captured male at Scotford April 6

Will try and get pictures posted

Female spends the nights. Male made reappearance this morning. He looks same as last year. We will wait and watch habits.

3 falcons

A banded male turned up after 8 am.
Female went to box and for first time unbanded went in box to bond . Was quite frantic, then saw why. Banded male flew in on outside. Bonding continued. Unbanded male went to front, chased off other male, bonded some more and flew off and so did female.
Then F returned and so did unbanded male ( to box) . Fly by and female went to outside and unbanded male flew out

At present, I believe it is F outside preening. Been there awhile

The banded male could be my young guy from NUTRIEN who stopped by last fall when others had left
Hate this. I have not much time

Scotford April 14

E32 is the new banded male. Nice to see him but we really liked unbanded male. He was the reason they were able to successfully pull off 5 fledges
E32 was at NUTRIEN last year but no nesting as no females.
E32 was born at Miscercordia in 2022. His dad is E36, born at U of A in 2020. He is the Grandson of Radisson and Chase. Very good lineage

Unfortunately they do not band here so we will loose track of a great lineage
E32 was afraid to go in box with K47 but today he made that move and also brought prey to the platform.
Fingers crossed . Hopefully pictures tomorrow.

well at 10:32 am a banded falcon turned up and into box talking and out. I caught band and it is E32 from Scotford.

but he is still at scotford .
this site is not too far away.
will post times he was at scotford. Just have to get them

sometimes he bonds in box and a lo t he remains outside . I have only seen prey brought in once but he could be putting it in a stash, off nest

He also paid a visit to nNutrien

I check bands here whenever I am on the site to make sure we still have same ones

Male doing well. Has no problem incubating.
On arrival of first egg, he was sure curious. Sniffed it all over and walked away, came back , looked, sniffed and then stood beside it. Now he incubates. I did see him bring in 2 prey morning of first egg.
Viewing time limited this year but trying to keep up

I just kept going back and forth, to where it was first seen and then realized it was further back on her last labor push. You don’t see the tail lift like in others. She just shimmies

We have a bad brush fire quite close to RedWater so viewing will be even more difficult. I am hoping for a late traveller here
