Taken from CPF report by Marion Nash
May 29, 2019 Three healthy chicks banded yesterday, 1 girl and 2 boys. We had 2 new climbers being trained by our long time volunteer, John Miller, who all climbed the tower to extract the chicks. As usual the adults were very protective and swooped and dove on the tower yelling at the human invaders. The extraction went very well and took very litttle time job well done guys! There were 3 chicks, 2 boys and 1 girl all healthy and good weights.
The female was named by the Kitchener fledge watch team, Hermera, banded Z over 41, red tape on silver band. The first male was named by CTV, Kawhi, for those Raptor fans. His band number is W over 94. The second male, named by the Kitchener team was named Jupiter, band number W over 95 (green tape on silver band. )

Welcome 2020!

:loveheart: The Canadian Peregrine Foundation has a post on their page about the resident male at a nest that is on the CIBC building at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. The tiercel’s name is Hunter. According to the writer, Harry Crawford, after a time of not being seen,Hunter has been seen at home, with his mate, Ariel. This is significant because Hunter is now 21 years old, and Mr. Crawford had been concerned. Some aerial activity has been seen around Yonge and Bloor, so they may be hanging around the new condos, according to Mr. Crawford. Hunter is a full brother to Canton Ohio’s former resident tiercel, Maverick.

I was like, are they getting bigger. Are we looking at the same pictures? But when compare the pictures, I guess they are.

:flirty:

Ok here's a current pic. Or I guess it is.

Update on Kitchener.

From CPF on Facebook:

    Kitchener Nest Update
We received a report from CTV Kitchener that there are no Peregrines nesting in the Tower this year. However, we just got a new report that there is a new Kitchener nest. Because it’s a hospital we won’t be banding the chicks this year due to COVID-19 risk assessments. We will also not be banding at the Oshawa or Etobicoke hospitals. Hopefully next year! See report below.
    Hi,
I’m not sure if anyone has contacted you about this yet. There is a falcon nest with 4 babies that hatched about a week ago. The location is St Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener on the ledge of the 9th floor just outside the laboratory window. Please see attached some photos and a video (sorry for the poor quality).

Something is wrong with the website of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. I get error messages for most of the sub-pages. Hope it gets resolved.
