Wow indeed!!! Although it looks a little small . . . It is possible however, quite a few migrating Osprey are spotted in that area every year. This nest box is near the nature reserve "Oostvaardersplassen" the same area where a pair of White tailed Eagles is nesting since 2006. |

Do you think that could be the eagle DEF and not an Osprey I forgot all about them I saw the white on the head and just thought of a Osprey |

DEF will know much more than me but the chest colouring and pattern looks very Osprey-like to me. I believe that white-tailed eagles are browner although the RSPB web site says that older birds can be very pale, almost white on their head and neck... Thanks KF . I'm very much alive and kicking but was submerged by work in the nesting season so could only read bits . I know it's OT but was lucky enough to see 3 golden eagles in the mountains near Bergamo in northern Italy 10 days ago, catching photos of one in flight (but the pics are very poor). |

It's so nice to see Francesco the kestrel still hanging around the nest box. He's really cute! P.S. As for the mystery bird spotted earlier, I don't have a clue. |

I can't wait to see some of your pictures even if they are perfect it is great that you can see them you must be very excited to see them, I would probably just stand there with my mouth hanging open saying awwww and drop a camera |

Bergum, The Netherlands There was a peregrine falcon spotted here a few times during the summer and we were all hoping that he would stay. But the "torenvalken" or kestrels are also nice!!!!! |
