An Osprey has landed! About 16_06_26 EET today.

Image Image Image Image

It very much looked like the female of that nest, "EJ". She had an white ring on her right leg, as EJ, but the letters I couldn't take clear. However they seemed to be very much like EJ! Still confirmation we haven't yet.

Now we have the confirmation! :spingirl: :loveshow:

Site manager Richard Thaxton writes:

EJ the resident female osprey at Loch Garten retrurned today, for her 8th season.

But I guess you all know that already!

There she was sat in the dead tree adjacent to the nest, scoffing a freshly caught fish.

Blog post - The ospreys at Loch Garten have people across the world gripped in their tale of violence, adultery and... well... fishing.

Ooh, I've been so thrilled EJ is back that I thought had already posted this slideshow.

There are first 10 minutes after her returning to Abernethy/ Loch Garten, to her own nest.
