I contacted Chris at the Creek Cam site to get the status on the cam, his reply.

"I am aware both the website and cam are down. I checked the pole end of the
cam yesterday in the field and could not find anything wrong with the
battery, solar panel or wiring. Now I need to check the camera,
transmitter, receiver and computer end of things. It is usually a simple
problem. My IT person is going to check the computer and the website.
Stay tuned, we will have everything up and running before the birds return
at the end of March.
Thanks again for you interest in CIRP. Keep in touch.
Chris"

The cam is back on line today, after being down for a few days :thumbegg:

The osprey should be back at any time, if not already

Beth :thumbegg: I hope Chris can keep the cam going, it's been up and down all week, 1/2 the time it has a strange picture of some place in Ireland  I wonder if that's one of last years pair, or the intruder from last year, stay tuned!! There are a lot of ospreys showing up in the northeast now, I had 9 new arrivals on my nests this afternoon that weren't here yesterday

Where in the world do they find this stuff? And why do they cart it to their nest? And how do they cart it?

My favorite strange object in an osprey nest will always be that blue teddy bear that appeared in one of the nests. Ospreys never cease to amaze me!

KITTEN, if you posted that pic because you're worried about her..don't be. She looks fine. It's pouring rain in Rhode Island and here on Cape Cod. If she's staying on the nest in this weather she may be working on an egg, or didn't know this much rain was coming before dark.

Also, she may be exhausted from moving that yellow mat around today :hmmmm
