Gosh someone is home all the time...
If you watch for several minutes you can see (big) planes-must be close to the airport.

Cape Henlopen, DE cam status

"Yes, we will be turning our Osprey Camera on this season.

The Ospreys usually return by March 20, and we start the camera around March 15."

Jazzel - what about nest cam associated with KEEP (Kentucky Environmental Education Projects). Great view, photos and videos. As far as I can tell, as of this date, osprey have not yet returned. Perhaps you've already taken note and I've missed it??

FORGET IT - FOUND IT! STILL LEARNING...LAKE BARKLEY!! :thud

Mary, I posted a little information for you on the Lake Barkley topic

I received this Cape Henlopen nest cam update, from the site

"Our osprey cam is up and running (had an electrical issue from the big snow storm last month).

No Ospreys on our nest yet (expect them back by March 20). Have had a Red-tail Hawk use the nest as a perch. Another nest in town (Lewes, DE) had their male return yesterday - first of the season."

Cheers

The problem is I can't get the link we were using last season to open the cam :?

If some of you could try it, and let me know if the problem is me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I can't get it sorry hon So I did some checking around and this
is all I could get there is more there to read

http://www.destateparks.com/park/cape-h ... osprey.asp

Osprey Cam
The birds from the Osprey Cam have migrated to their southern wintering grounds.
The Osprey Cam breeding pair should return around the first day of spring, March 21.
Please check back in then for a live feed.
Our birds left early this year, August 16, after a summer when they did not breed.
This resulted from a dispute between two new females over this nesting site.
To following the fate of other Ospreys that have been tagged with satellite
transmitters and to see where they go for the winter, please check Dr. Rob
Bierregaard’s website .
The Osprey Cam equipment was generously provided by The Friends of Cape
Henlopen State Park.
The current feed from the Cape Henlopen Nature Center displays photos
and information about Dr. Bierregaard’s Osprey tagging project.

KITTEN, you found another osprey cam  :cloudnine:

I'll try to find some background on it, and add the link to the BCAW OSPREY CAM LINKS topic :bravo

I just emailed Cape Henlopen, hopefully I'll get an answer before their osprey return!!!

Thanks Jazzel and Kitten...

This cam was online last year but no Ospreys, but I do think they
had a nest in 2008 and might have some photos on the old forum.

Beth, thanks. I just went through all of the MICS. OSPREY topics in the BCAW 2008 archive, there is nothing about the nest posted there.
