KITTEN, thanks for checking the nest. I had it on screen recording yesterday afternoon, while I was out checking my nests. I just now had time to get some pics from the recordings to post.

Skylar had two fish deliveries yesterday, and a least one today (no pics from today). The female, as far as I know, has not been back to the nest...this is likely a good thing...she needs to be taking care of herself and start her overdue migration.

Kitten, Skylar hasn't been seen with a fish since Monday morning.

Yesterday I screen recorded the nest all day, while I was doing other things. 6:15 am to 4:30 pm EDT Skylar had been off the nest several times, the longest 10:15 to 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. He could have had some fish from the male, both times. He didn't look wet, so I doubt he fished or tried to fish on his own, but it could just be the cam...not the best. The other times he left the nest were 15 min. or less.

He should start fishing on his own if he's hungry. Osprey's aren't taught to fish, they learn on their own, instinct, like migration and nest building. That's why ospreys are successfully hacked. Hacked osprey's never have a parent to teach them anything, amazing 8-)

I'm watching this nest closely because it's a late re-nest and so far north.
