Kitten, thanks. That's what I remember from last season on this nest. When you have time, watch her breathing, post what you think. Nothing has changed for the hatchling, still not fed, and the female has left it uncovered a couple of times to eat the fish she returned to the nest with, the fish is still on the nest.

BET, on Hancock posted a fish delivery, with a pic. It was not a fish delivery, it was the female returning with fish she left with, leaving the nestling uncovered, not even out of it's shell....this is a new one for me :suncrazy:

You can go to Hancock and read the posts, I posted this video on Hancock, goes with BET'S pic.

I cut out a bit of the feeding or this would have been at least 10 minutes long

Kitten, I hear you, I'm surprised C2 has made it so far. C1 is 6 days older than C3, C2 4 days older, that's a huge spread for ospreys. Add to that, the female isn't much on brooding!!! Also, she's always pecking the nestlings, I've never seen that behavior on a nest, never.

I still think this is a complete different pair this yr neither of them are acting like they have a clue (young?) not like the doting parents we had last year

Kitten, go back and look at last season, I think this is the same pair.

I was just thinking, she may be pecking at them to get all those bugs....but if she would brood, the bugs wouldn't be on the nestlings!

The worst sibling aggression I can remember observing. I got in from work just before 3:00 pm EDT, put the cam on and recorded this.
