It's sunny again and there are two eggs :dancingegg:

The eggs were laid on:
Wednesday May 02,
Saturday May 05.
One more egg (most probably) is expected tomorrow, Tuesday May 08.

And it is possible that on Wednesday (May 09) the ZOO staff will climb to the nest to remove those dark plastic bags - they can cause dangerous overheating of eggs during incubation. (I heard this info on the local radio.)

There was nothing particularly exciting at this nest recently. But it’s getting closer to hatching time (still probably several days). Just a reminder: the eggs were laid on May 2, 5 & 8.

Yesterday the view looked like this:

But today, the focus of the camera is different - in anticipation of the big event... Still, the eggs look intact.

I think that at about 6:30 p.m. local time I witnessed the hatching of the second chick. But the view was not perfectly clear - as is usually the case. It looked like this:

They seem to be noisy, demanding food.

It is a rare occasion today that mum allows a glimpse of her chicks. It is rather cool and wet weather. But sometimes… They seem to be very vigorous and curious about the outside world.

And they ordered Chinese food for supper: red "Koi" fish :egg13:

Dad came to take away the rest of the meal.

He obviously doesn't want his kids to be overweight...

After the meal they have a nap and dad came to check if everything was OK.
