Today we could see the entire nest again. But the chicks seem to be darker, and not clearly visble on the dark background. Unless they move, of course.

The chicks grow and seem to be interested in the outside world, in particular the river which flows not far from the nest...

Nice and warm weather. The chicks are exercising their wings

Mother arrived but did not bring any food...

... but a little bit later the father brought something and mom started feeding the chicks.

Osprey - "Calgary 2"
There is another osprey nest in Calgary. There used to be a lamp post with a platform and the nest on it. But last winter that lamp was brought down in a storm. Early spring a special pole with a platform was placed nearby and it was adopted by a pair of osprey when they arrived. The pole is located about 100 meters from the river and about 10 km upstream from the other nest, near the ZOO. There is no camera at the nest. Several days ago I went there and took some pictures from the ground (both the camera and the photographer were not the best, so the pictures are far from perfect). There are at least two chicks on the nest, but it is difficult to see them from below.

Dad arrives. The youngsters get excited, but he did not bring anything...
