I've been thinking about your *living inside the wall* bird issue and wonder if you can see where they are coming and going. I bet you know about the safe bat exclusion method of placing netting so they can get out but can't return? That might work for you in this case if you can exclude them before they have hatchlings.

We had a similar problem a few years ago except they were falling down the flu for the furnace. You could see wing prints in the dust (sorry, I don't dust the furnace). We had 2 cats at the time and it was hard to corral the cats in a room then try to get the birds in a room and open the windows to try and get them to fly out. It happened twice before we figured out how they were getting in the house. Hubby had to go out on the roof and put some mesh around the flu. Good luck with your birds.

MOM LEFT WITH THE FOOD, LIL DAD CAME IN AND ATE SOME SCRAPS IN THE SCRAPE AND NOW STANDING OVER THE BABIES. FROM WHAT I COULD SEE, STILL ONLY LOOKED LIKE TWO, BUT STILL DARK IN THERE.

Thanks for the photo--I am away, but logged on to a borrowed computer to check on the gang.

No doubt the two will eat well with Mom clucking them on to take just a bit more. Can't wait to see how the other eggs develop!

I watched this feeding, but because Mom was blocking the cam most of the time I didn't get any pics. Saw that #2 got at least a couple of bites! :spingirl:

Boy, I'm having a time trying to distinguish between Harrisburg & Montreal (who just got sound yesterday). Both have chirping coming from eggs & Montreal had its first hatch overnight. (By the way, the female subadult from last year has met the new baby.) For those of you who haven't been able to hear the chirps from Harrisburg's cam, you might want to listen to the Montreal cam--no background noise so its very distinguishable!

There are at least two feathers stuck in the cobweb in front of the scrape cam. Hope that doesn't get a bigger accumulation, or it's going to be hard to see. Mom was just doing a bunch of squirming. Must get ready to leave for the part time job, and won't be back until around 3.

Oh, goodie! We now have feathers hiding some of the view from the one camera. I suppose they are hung up on our good buddy's web. So, we're still waiting for the third+ hatching. Y'all are doing so well with theh pictures I'm not butting in. I'm still having computer problems, but getting them solved one at a time.
