Well, now I have been decorating my head off. My list ljames, is clean, cook,clean-up, then decorate. I have shopped a lot already. Nice to see all the pictures of our "Love Birds". Thanks to all. Love the snow flakes on here again. Very cold today. We want to put lights out tomorrow. We have Rock Lights out all year.
I noticed on my Calender from last year, we had 14" of snow on Dec 19th. Oh Boy!
So glad we went to the Dam last week Sue.Very cold there today.
My stepson(First Mate on the tug,) had a Falcon on the tug last week, down in the Chesapeake Area. Didn't stay long, but he was thrilled to see him/her. He often tells me of different birds that ride along for awhile.

Glad you didn't have to work at 4:00 a.m. Jane. I am not a store shopper as much as catalog and now Internet.

LIL DAD WENT TO THE SCRAPE, YOU COULD TELL HE WAS CALLING OUT OR CHIRPING AND THEN HE WENT BACK TO THE STICK LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. HERE I SEE NG AT THE END OF THE LEDGE. SHE REALLY BLENDED IN.

Hey Faith, I have been decorating today too.

Thanks for all the nice pictures today. I did check in several times but didn't leave the cam up like I usually do, just in case it's a problem. Don't want them to turn the cams off for sure.

I hope everyone here had a terrific Thanksgiving Day! I was away for the holiday and just got back home a little while ago.

We went over the river and through the woods to what used to be Grandmother's house in years past. It snowed part of the time, then turned to rain, and there was fog for most of the trip. One really neat thing happened along the way. I found out earlier this year that there is a peregrine couple living under the bridge on Rte 322 where it crosses the Susquehanna River. Since we cross that bridge several times a year, I kept looking for it, but never saw it. Thursday morning, just as we started across the bridge, it flew right over my car! The only bad part though is that I was driving this time, so barely caught it out of the corner of my eye, but my hubby got a good look at it and he said it came really close to the car. I didn't see where it came from, if it was perched somewhere, or was just flying over and flying low because of the foggy conditions. I am glad I got to see it and hope to see it again someday when I'm the passenger.

7:55 NG on the stick. Her tail tells the story! In the 30's here . Corva, great story! A vulture flew right over our windshield facing towards the car last summer. That is so awesome when it happens.

After a break to shove my snout into the trough, i tuned back in and think there has been a changing of the guard with NG now on the stick at 8am. She must have just dined as she was wiping her beak on the stick
(i think this is NG as theyre alot larger than the earlier capture)

LIL DAD GOT OUT THE SCRAPE AND WENT TO THE SHIELD, NG OFF THE STICK TO THE LEDGE. THEY HAD SOME WORDS, I COULD SEE LIL DAD'S BEAK GOING. THEN NG FLEW TO THE POINT AND THEN TO THE CAM PERCH. LIL DAD WAS STILL IN THE SCRAPE. PICS TO FOLLOW, EVEN ONE OF NG FLYING UP TO THE POINT.

Thanks Reenie for the pictures. You know, I seldom catch NG on the stick for some reason. I always think it's her to start but then settle on Little Dad. Anyway, whoever thought to put the nestbox, stick perch, cams where they are, did an excellent job, as we get to see the falcons all the time. The falcons may be hanging out at all the other nests too, but you don't see them on cam so much like you do here. :sfclap:

As of 8:35, NG is on the cam perch, and Little Dad on the stick. Corva, am wondering where you meant when you mentioned 322 crossing the Susquehanna. Is this near Duncannon? And as for TVs flying overhead, two years ago while in Arizona, I had a TV fly DIRECTLY into my rental car's windshield while I was doing about 60 MPH. Scared the you know what out of me. Amazingly, the vulture survived!

Carol, what a wonderful experience for you to see the falcon at the 322 bridge! :sfwand:

Thanks for the great pictures this morning!
