Great pictures of James and Elizabeth! It's so nice to see them "at home."

I'm sorry to say Shawn just called to confirm that this is the male we have been seeing. Based on the band colors, this appears to be an out of state falcon (PA, DE, NJ), so keep your eyes open for the band. I'm out for a little while, but I'll try and keep watching. :-( :-( :-(

James was a remarkable falcon.

Like the rest of you, I went back to look at bands & James' characteristics & I think its James we've been seeing there lately. In fact, I'm inclined to think this "newby" is a female because of size! If somebody had to fight for territory, I think Elizabeth would hold up better than James. :-?

Edit: after reading Barb's post, I could very well be wrong, but this bird just seems to be too large to be a male. (Or I could just be out to lunch!)
:-?

Boy, I sure am sorry to hear its a male...I do hope it will not challenge our James...but if it does, I do hope Liz will break the rules and step in to help...Worse case scenario...this Male makes a go for the nest...James just needs to wave goodbye...and take his retirement...I don't think any of us want a repeat of Harrisburg...

OK...I'll keep the cam up...the good news....Elizabeth and James were bonding (quite passionately, I might add..) yesterday!!!

So you did think it was James in some of the pics? I thought so, too--the bands seemed dark rather than green. Well, maybe this one is just thinking of settling here...fingers crossed!

Yes...I'm almost positive it was James yesterday...I had a lot of pics of him and never once did I think the band looked funny...of course, I could be totally wrong...but it looked black to me.

If, heaven forbid, this male returns and we get him on cam 3 or 4, then we can know what a green band looks like on those cams...just in case...

I think this is Elizabeth (I'm just learning about this nest...) As I was watching and posting, the cams froze...and the time is off by 2+ hours
