Made the picture lighter, otherwise the falcon was hardly visible  A few minutes later it was gone.

So it appears that we have a falcon who sleeps in the Black Dog nestbox at night, just as Freedom does in Fort Wayne. :sfthumbs:

I see that falcon there alot at night. You can just make out the white in the mist of the darkness. That's a funny thing, how some falcons sleep in their box and some don't . Some in the Netherlands do alot.

Mandy Rose likes to sleep in her nest box every night during the winter. I think that if more webcams stayed online year round, we would see more falcons doing the same thing. I've noticed that the females are always the ones who sleep in the nest box. I wouldn't be surprised if the males are on guard somewhere nearby - like Klaas at Eemsmond.

Mandy Rose returned to the nest wearing down feathers today:

Nice shots of the 2 of them, Ingrid! Its obvious that the midwestern falcons that stick around don't have a problem finding food--it seems to be plentiful judging by all of the full crops we're seeing!
