I don't know how concerned these people are with their falcons anyway, cause this is the nest where a young chick disappeared & they didn't know anything about it when ljames inquired! Didn't seem to be very concerned, either... :x

I totally agree, catwoman! It still bothers me that they never did update the site on what happened to the fourth chick, or on the banding, or anything else. I still check the site, and had been going to post a pic of the lake around the nest.

I agree with your comments too, ljames.

If anyone has an e-mail address for a contact person for the Hartford site, could you please send it to me?

Sorry about the colours. I resized them all at once and hadn't noticed that a colour correction was still selected (from an earlier batch-conversion )

This falcon looks older, so I had to go back on check on this site, since we never see them in the summer. So here's some background on the Nipsco pair. Does anyone know if the Midwest Peregrine group has a report for this year? I can only find through 2008.

The female, Latesha, was fledged in 1999 at a power plant in Genoa, Wisconsin, and has nested at Schahfer since 2001. Her mate, Rollin, was fledged at U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana in 1996 and has nested in Wheatfield since 1998. Latesha is Rollin's third mate in the eight years that she has nested at Schahfer Station

This is what I found about the nest
“Latesha” (b/g) Z/K, a female produced in Genoa, WI in 1999 is believed to be
paired again with paired with male Rollin (b/r) K/*8 produced in 1996 in Gary, IN.
They nested at the NIPSCO Schahfer Plant in Wheatfield but the nest failed.

Here is a link to the report

Thanks for hunting that down Kitten. There used to be a separate report with more nests, but I guess they stopped doing it since Greg is writing up the major ones. Here's their website:
