She's not on the eggs this morning and no hatches so it's not looking good for them. I was thinking the object to the left of her was another bird but it hasn't moved so I don't think that's what it is.

She hasn't brought any food to the nestbox, at least not since Caesar's disappearance so I'd say this is a very good sign!!! It must have been the new male. And who knows, maybe that was the new male we were watching. :)

I had a post ready but forgot to click the submit button. :lol:
When I started watching this morning, at 05.19 local time, there was a falcon in the box eating. At 05.39 it left, taking the left-over with her/him ? ? ?

I think it was Red. It was really comfortable in there.
I would think a new male would be more hesitant to enter and start eating in an unfamiliar place. It would have been the very first time for him to be inside the box.
And the left-over was taken out, that too made me feel it was Red, keeping the box clean, stashing whatever was left in a safe place.

WOW, NOW I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE NOT GETTING UP AT 4AM! LOTS OF POST AND EXCITEMENT ALREADY. NICE TO SEE RED GIRL ON THE EGGS, BUT ALSO SAD BECAUSE I DON'T THINK THEY WILL HATCH. EATING IN THE NESTBOX? Very exciting news Kim, & all the other's too. It is sad about the prospects of the eggs, but Red Girl is carrying on by her instincts. Makes us feel better???? Now Kim I hope you can watch some today also. SO hard not to. Can you choose where you work?
