Good News...we might have another day or so to enjoy sightings of the Wilmington falcons!

The nest box cam, which was slated to be turned off at the end of July, is still live for the moment. When it is turned off (tomorrow perhaps), I'm hoping that there will still be some live observations (e.g., sightings of Red Girl or CJ, remnants of meals) to report on while the cam is offline.

They are giving us quite a show today. Saw one when I signed on this morning and just now. CJ was there this morning.Thanks Catbird & SGB for the pictures. Glad for extra Cam time!

I suspect that this was CJ visiting this morning, but I'm not sure.

More evidence that CJ was there: new yellow-billed cuckoo head on the sidewalk below.

An hour and a half ago CJ was on the third ledge from the left on the Brandywine Building and Red Girl was on the corner of the roof of the Wilmington Trust Building, ten stories down and diagonally across the intersection of 11th and West Streets from CJ. She creaked repeatedly and loudly when I came out on the parking garage roof -- I'm not sure if it was"Get lost!" to me or some commentary for CJ's benefit, probably both. He called back once but didn't look like he was in any hurry to get up. I left them alone although rush hour was about to bring lots of people to the cars on the roof.

I thought all the cam feeds were shut down, but after seeing your pictures from earlier today I checked them all. Two of the cam feeds are no longer working, but the one from the alternate cam link 1 is still live. And our gal, Red Girl, was right there for a couple of minutes. It sure made my day!

Greg - I got so excited seeing Red that I forgot to thank you before for your posts about spotting CJ and Red Girl and identifying another one of CJ's Yellow-billed Cuckoos. It's great getting your live observations!
