There was quite a large bit of prey in the box earlier today - I wonder if it is still there for her to nibble on ... ?

Oh sorry I missed everyone - it's 6.17 pm now & she looks quite content in the box after nibbling on the prey ...

Well - if that was a lesson Mom taught her this morning about "NOT LEAVING THE BOX!" then she sure has learnt it! and oh yes it's 7.35 pm.

It is a shame none of the boys came home yesterday, but I feel they will return at some point. Glad to see Froona got a good feed before bed. :D :harvest: Thanks for all the great coverage!

Wow, I feel very honoured that the names I suggested for the boys are chosen for the boys.
The reason I used Aboriginal names is that I felt that it was a good way to recognise that these birds are native to the land
and were there together with the Aboriginals lóng before the Europeans entered the scene. Also, the meaning of both names is perfect for Peregrine Falcons.

Am I a Godmother now ? ! ?

I believe Orville can best be remembered and honoured by giving the first male eyas born to Scout and her new mate that name.

So glad to know that Sheila came by with some nice fresh prey for Froona last night. Thanks for the pictures. And how do you get to that board in Italy?

DEF, they were great names, congrats.

I suggested Orville and was disappointed, but it is fitting that they named the boys for the original people of their country.

I continue to be surprised by how differently the chicks act from one year to the next. Last year's boys (except for Stan) explored quite a bit before they fledged. I hope they will continue to visit the box, but I guess it will be a few days before they can get themselves back up that high.

Great coverage night crew!

I'm going to close Part IV & begin Part V. Please continue your posts there!
:wave5:
