I hope someone catches a feeding here. I have not been lucky.
I am praying here for this one. Hope they are watching also.

So glad you got that pic, Kitten! I know we're all going to be worrying about whether this baby is getting enough to eat...

I think maybe the chick had already been fed by the time I tuned in as Dad was eating mostly.

When I got my picture dad just walked in and baby was all over it,
I saw pieces that chick snagged that would have gagged a grown up :laugh2

Thanks KF and ljames. :loveshow: :loveshow: Every time I go in baby is calling loudly.

Poor dad, must be trying to figure out what has happened. We all think they do not think like us. But we do not know this. ( that is why I cannot figure out why they keep telling us not to humanize)

He has lost his partner and now 2 kids are gone and he is probably flying all over looking for mom. I know this, becasue I have watched what they do after a partner is missing. they check out all their roosts and everywhere they flew in from or to. and they call.

So I am thankful you are catching the wee one being fed. probably not as regularly as it was used to, but fed none the less.

Oh kittenface, so funny. I wish I had caught that.

And so sad what you have seen bev. I can only imagine that's what would happen.
Nevertheless, he feels a strong instinct to keep feeding his remaining baby, thank goodness.

OK..I'm drawing a blank...which nest is this please?

...and maybe a favor...can we start labeling the nests for those of us who are having more frequent "senior moments"...

Thanks!!!

I thought I would d check before I turned for the night.

11:14pm Mt april29

I was rewarded. Dad came in and had a nice big piece of prey, and was feeding the wee one. My heart just fluttered to hear the squealing of this one ,while it was eating. then dad left and I heard an almost alarm call outside. I know it was nothing but it was a call. I wish the young one could have an adult to keep it company.
I am being positive here and hope that a new mate is not found till this one fledges successfully. selfish I know, but it is in this ones best interests.
the light is bright so that is why it is hard to see

I agree with you ; it would be so much better if every post was labelled with the nest name/location. There just are too many nests to remember them all.

I was blessed today. Was just leaving the sites and thought ,check, and a feeding.
after dad left, and young one went by door, heard dads call again. I do ot know if that was to let young one know he would not be far away.

slideshow

I check here a few times a day and never catch a feed. God knew I am getting discouraged
