I can't see bands, so I don't know whether this is Spirit or Roger--I'm inclined to think its Roger because of the size... :?

OK we just had another Polly episode...!

Spirit was on the egg, Polly came in the box and literally stepped on her mom! At first Spirit did not move, then she gave in and went out of the box. She perched not to far. Roger saw Spirit so they did a little mating session :-) then Roger came in the box to take care of the egg but Polly was still in and she was annoying him so he left. Then Polly lied down near the egg and slept for about 1 hour. Spirit's instinct kicked in and she went back to the box, she firmly told her daughter to leave. Polly left the box and went to perch somewhere else on the tower. I will make some videos later...

Thank god Spirit is finally stepping in!!

Here's the video from today :

After she was kicked out of the box, Polly spent a long time perched at various places on the tower. Now I think she's gone hunting.

I think she just likes the box to rest in the sun, as we saw in the last weeks... But she will have to learn that it's Roger and Spirit's space now!!!

Great video, Wizzz! Its a shame Polly isn't behaving--Spirit & Roger have been very patient with her, but their priority now has to be this year's nesting season. I hope she settles down... :o

Great videos, Wizzzz....I think you could be right about Polly wanting her napping spot...and I think everyone is confused at this point...I hope Polly doesn't turn into a jealous older sibling...This is so interesting...I guess Spirit is just gonna have lay down the law...

Thankfully, the video worked this time and it sure is interesting. Polly is really being a bully with her parents and she wins against Roger, but after quite a struggle she finally gives in to Spirit. I can't imagine what will happen when there is full-time incubation needed. :shock: I guess we'll see.

Oh my--3's a crowd! I believe Polly is the one against the far wall. One of the adults ended up leaving (Roger I believe), the other adult (Spirit?) laid on the egg, & Polly is still in there...

She harrassed the adult who was on the egg to the point the adult left! Now the sun is on the egg, so she better shade it!
