You never know how Polly might react when the eggs start hatching. I am also quite nervous about it, but it could be that mothering instinct might kick in & she'll help with them. Guess its also possible that mothering instinct will kick in & she'll decide they're her babies & try to keep Spirit & Roger away! :roll:

Oh my gosh, this nest never ceases to amaze me. Could not believe my eyes at the shot of Polly and Spirit lying in the nest together. :shock:

Hi all !
Yeah after 3 quiet days Polly was back in the box this morning...! The adults managed to do their job never the less and indeed it was really amazing to see Roger (not Spirit) and Polly lying in there together!! Seeing how things are these days I am quite confident when the chicks are here that Polly will behave.
Unfortunately I cannot record videos this week as I am away from home and my internet connection is too slow. But I am still checking the cams regularly... of course!! I will be back in Montreal next Monday.

I've looked in on Pollyworld a few times today and no disturbances that I could see. Boy, I tell you, I'm always a little wary when I do so. :lol:

She chased the parent out and now she is gone and the eggs are just sitting there.

Ok the parent is back in there on the eggs. Oh my what a hassle for the parents.

I'm sorry to hear that Polly was back and causing a problem again this morning, but glad you caught the episode, ljames. Hopefully, the eggs were not uncovered for too long.

From looking at the archives, it looks like she was there for about a half an hour. Didn't see any sunshine in the box, so I don't think that's what she wanted. Maybe she's just lonely...if she behaves herself, she could have a lot of fun with her brothers & sisters when they start flying & playing tag & all. If that happens, I'm hoping Wizzz has a video camera to catch some of the action! :grin:

Oh wow, I didn't know there were archives. Thanks catwoman. When I first tuned in, Polly was in there alone with the eggs, and I watched for maybe 20 minutes.

The archives are so easy to get to, I check them each time I visit the cam so I can see whether Polly had been around...
