This morning Polly is very present in box #2

It's snowing this morning in Montreal... Fortunately the wind is not entering the box. Spirit is guarding the eggs, Roger and Polly are both perched close by - in a corner to protect themselves from this bad weather...

I saw your forecast Wizzz. Unfortunately , we are going to get hit next. Stay warm and hopefully the birds can keep eggs warm.

the wind must have changed direction becasue you can see a bit of moisture getting in. Hopefully nothing to worry about. they will really have to keep those eggs covered. so no fooling around Miss Polly,

Sorry some of you are getting the yucky white stuff! We aren't getting it here, but it sure isn't very warm.

Fortunately Polly did not come to the box yesterday so the eggs were warm during that nasty weather. She was present on the tower all morning and went hunting with her mom in the afternoon. Fingers crossed for today... warm weather should be back tomorrow!

Of course I had put my snow broom away and my car had a huge pile of snow on it yesterday night!!

there was just another stand-off. I came in and Polly was in . Went to archives and saw parent left at 12:22
then in came Polly
Adult tried 3 times to come in around and get to eggs but Polly was in way.
Finally _Polly left and went out to perch at 12:35pm

Adult was able to get in at 12:20pm

Polly did not incubate by any means. She sniffed the eggs a bit and hopefully her body heat in there kept them warm.

The adults are doing what they can only do while she is in there. they do not want a big fight , the eggs would surely be destroyed. As long as the eggs do not get below a certain temperature , they will be O.K. but they may take longer to hatch.

what is hatch date again.
