I guess everyone has different laws. Here they would take chicks and foster them to another nest.
so I will not watch. Sorry.

I wish that they do the same thing here Bev.
It breakes my hart to see the chicks suffering so much !!

Nice photo Hanny of the little mouths.

I also had a look at the other nest, boy, hard to see that. Such a shame.

Yep, I was just looking at that. She got up this afternoon and I saw a big pip, but couldn't get the picture in time. I mean when you want it to refresh, it doesn't and then.... I noticed that also, two in there much of the day. Maybe he was so anxious about the new arrival that he just couldn't leave.

I couldn't help but see the ones at Amsterdam and the female was in the nest sitting for a while. Then the male brought her something to eat. She does look like a juvie, or at least not a full adult. She probably didn't even realize about those chicks. Anyway this is the best shot I got that doesn't show the chicks.

Sometime during the period the inside cam was down, the dead chicks AND the not-hatched egg have disappeared . . . Nobody knows what happened. :?
Some people have been saving the ledge pictures automatically during the night and nothing showed up on those.
So we are quite puzzled at what has happened here. But this morning, when the inside cam came back on-line the box was clean.

If that's the case, then maybe what I was seeing just under the doorway was eggshells today. :?

WOW...that is quite the mystery...can anyone access the nest and it not show up via the ledge cam?

Amsterdam, the new pair. A new nest is still possible.

They must be able to get in thru the back maybe you know to get the chicks and band then maybe someone came in and got them
