I think it is Susan, but since I can't see the bands on the one with her(?) butt facing us, I'm not sure. I think by the size its Polly. I think ljames hit the nail on the head when she said that maybe bowing isn't necessarily a mating ritual, but also a falcon greeting. :?

Yes it was Polly bowing to Spirit - the young one is always bowing really low to her parents, probably showing her "lower" rank in the hierarchy. I have seen Mom bowing to her as well, but always keeping her head higher, showing she's the boss :-) Even Roger who is way smaller keeps his head higher when bowing to Polly.

She's sleeping in the box again... so cute ! :beathrt:

Thanks, Wizzz! This is a new experience for us to see 3 peregrines together--it is unusual because usually the 3rd peregrine is chased off, so there is much to learn from these interactions.
