I was looking at last years pictures on this date and was sunny and that weed was just a trimmed stock. Actually tis disappointing not being able to see clearly the everyday goings on I know.

Was just visiting and here Surge is just keeping a watchful eye and getting a shower at the same time. Been raining most of the day here today. :playrain:

Ok .. update
I noticed Surge has been perched after bringing lunch for Madame X & 1st born now
is that not dedicated? Well there's number 2.
Hamilton site update: May 7, 2010 Just before 14:00 today Madame X stepped onto the upper ledge, providing a clear look at two white fluffballs. Seconds later Surge came in with lunch and proceeded to feed the chicks while herself watched. Two more chicks to come - we hope - and warmer weather after the rain and winds clear out tomorrow. :thumbup

Here Surge has brought a meal for Madame X .

Now after about 5 minutes stretching her wings X returns watching Surge making sure he's doing his bit. :egghatch:

Been bad weather here in Hamiton last couple days with winds up to 70 mph but the good thing is that all looks well at the nest here with added bonus the wind has snapped one limb of the bush like weed which had been impeding our view so back in business.

Report from the Hamilton site
May 8, 2010 - At 14:25 today Surge brought in some food and Madame X stepped onto the upper ledge, providing a clear look at three fluffy white chicks. Today's high winds seem to have bent the weed a bit to the south, providing a better view of the nest corner, and we hope that it will not move back. Getting ready for Number Four - stay tuned!!

I'm sure you've seen or read about the goings on at the Montreal site with the family there. But here in Hamilton I feel you'll see the difference of this mature elder Madame X and she is a real character indeed. Chasing off our last years returning young one and sure tis why it's not been a brutal chase off to the end. You don't see our nest unattended you only catch a brief view of the young ones now at this stage of the game as both parents are fierce going after the red tail hawks, turkey vultures, crows and all takers. These are shots from today but much like clockwork tis like every 2 hours in comes Surge, wait about 2 seconds then Sweet Madame X comes a running takes the handoff and back for feeding. Both shots show 3 hatched and 1 egg.
