Dad in there feeding baby again. It really looks like this is working out. They were smart to do it this way. Wonder how the girls are doing.

That's funny, ljames--I also thought about checking Osaka tonight, and thanks for the pics from Barcelona! I've been so wrapped up with Harrisburg & Wilmington plus trying to get some stuff done around home...

Nice video, SGB! I always worry that when they first start trying to feed themselves that they'll get too big a piece & choke (especially when a parent isn't there), but he seemed to do fine using his talons to pull a big piece back out of his mouth!

Great shot of the family in Japan, I usually just see one parent there, sometimes an exchange.
I've never heard of a chick choking but often worried about it.
Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it and so did my cat, Sammie. :spingirl:
That chick was really focused on that scrap.

I'm not sure I've seen them all spread out like this. The one guy seems to be checking out his foot.

Watching a feed right now at Barcelona. this one is starved. Just grabbing and trying to feed itself

Poor baby.they sure this is a male. Sure seems big in comparison to dad
Still eating and squealing.

Dad really pulling at the pieces. and young one is not stopping. Hopefully fed yesterday
tried to grab the whole thing

Grabbing before dad is ready Feeding for over 20 minutes now.
Still going .dad getting some .

now feeding little one again, still squealing while eating
I should have put the time when I started watching. Have had to refresh a few times already
Makes me wonder when the last time fed the way it is eating.
Dad echupped. Young one must have nicked him while grabbing food.
Still eating
dad just grabbed the rest ,went to rim and flew out.

I think he eats outside because you always hear him call after
will post picutres shortly

Thanks for the slideshow, Bev! It appears that the distance they are from the cam determines how large they look. I thought before that the baby looked bigger than dad, but when they're both the same distance away from the cam, the baby looks smaller.

Thanks bev. I have seen the baby fed many times, so I think he is getting enough. Be he can scream alot, and I too even wondered if it was really a boy.

Here's Japan. Uh, looks like more than 3 babies now. ?? Or are they just spread out in a funny configuration?
Image

Edit: checked back in, well that one is big enough to be two.

Daddy and chick. Well he doesn't look so big in front of Dad by the door. Seemed like the chick got all he wanted, but was very lound nonetheless.
