Thank you, Carly! I'm going to copy this link to the Harrisburg topic, because I know that other people there are also wondering.

Some tragic news about SW and Buckeye's daughter, Strike, born in 2009. She has been missing for at least two weeks.

Strike established her own nest this year with her mate, McKinley from the Canton nest. There was at least one chick in the nest. One chick was definitely seen, but when Chad and Chris saw the chick on June 28th, the chick was not moving. Strike has not been seen, and a male thought to be McKinley was going after the juvies at Rocky and Lara's nest site a few days ago.

I am still hoping that Strike, a very beautiful falcon who looks a lot like SW and also a bit like Buckeye, might turn up, but this does not sound good.

On a happier note, both SW and Boomer visited the nest today, and spent a few minutes bonding:

And one of the juvies visited for a moment:

SW and Buckeye's daughter, Strike, who has been missing for several weeks, is alive. Chad and Chris found her at Rocky and Lara's nest site. Lara and Rocky are also there with their juvies; this is a very strange situation.

Glad to hear that Strike is alive, but very strange situation. No wonder McKinley was also seen there.

Thanks for the great bonding pictures!

I agree, Carly. This is not a good situation. I remember very well last year when Lara killed Cade at the Cleveland Clinic for no reason, and then went back to Rocky.

I don't want to see any harm come to either of these beautiful falcons. I hope marauding Lara will not go after Strike; Strike has a fierce heritage of her own, but she is only two years old.

Thanks for the pics of our beautiful pair, Alison!

I hope to hear soon that McKinley & Strike have left Lara & Rocky's nesting area.
