Lighting is terrible, but it looks like there might be 4 now (3 in a row, 1 to the left)!? :egg16:

WOW! Athena is a good name for her. Unbelievable. Six is going to have to be on the ball with the food right away this year.

:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

Better lightning, but actually looks like still 3 eggs. #3 was probably laid during the night Thursday into Friday, so overnight tonight could be when #4 arrives (and greets us tomorrow morning).

Still 3 eggs as of this morning. Now that I think of it, #3 arrived probably 60ish hours after #2 (I remember reading about Red Girl down in Wilmington doing that). So if that's what Athena is doing here, #4 is due probably this afternoon! I'll be out this afternoon, but anyone watching the live cam might have a good chance at seeing the actual arrival of #4! :egg8:

We've got 4!! :danceegg: :danceegg: Been watching the live cam for about an hour, and Athena finally got off the eggs to stretch. I'm pretty sure #4 arrived sometime yesterday afternoon or evening, but I wasn't able to check the cam much at that time. At least now we can circle the calendar for next month!! If it was definately laid yesterday, then hatching should be May 5 or 6 (that would be 32-33 days). :egg5:

I look at the cam, but Athena remains ensconced. She is one good brooder.

That she is, and she'll be earning a few more stripes on her sleeve tonight: heavy rain, with southeasterly winds gusting 40-50 mph!! Thankfully the very top of 101 will block at least some of that.

I think she will be fine. The building will block most of the rain from the south. But she will get drenched. Thankfully her feathers will protect her. At least it's not snow. See if she turns with her back to the rain.

Yup she's sittin pretty today! 3 inches of rain would've shut the area down for a week if it was snow :egg14:

Do we expect the first hatch around May 4?

I counted to May 5 or 6. Can't believe we're almost halfway through the big sit already!
