Just checked in and Dot appeared to be in there feeding when Dad arrived with more prey. She went out to the perch and took it. The glare was so bad, couldn't get a shot. She is having a few bites now, looks like, ok babies are joining in too.

Boy, they are pretty agressive little eaters now too, less particular for sure about what they eat.

Edit: Yep, big chick just got a foot.

I wasn't really paying that much attention, but I think that it was Dad who just brought in a tiny snack and fed the chicks. It lasted less than a minute, still a snack is a snack for these guys.

Dot just arrived with the main course. Nice size prey and the babies are all around her waiting patiently for her to feed them. She is defeathering there in the box as hard as she can.

They are eating again.

Image

Dot carries the prey around feeding them.

Look at the one in front of the camera stretching to see what is going on in the corner. I don't see the 4th, it must be in the other corner.

Yep, see the 4th now.

She is such a good mother. She will not be satisfied until every bite is eaten.

I can hear a few fireworks here, but so far Dot is just listening and doesn't appear frightened. Chicks are sleeping.

Saw the babies getting fed about 8AM central today and they fell asleep right after. They look quite content - they must have been fed again!

Thank you for the slide show kitten I loved how the pages turned!

This is the first day that I heard one of the chicks try out an adult call. (7-2-11)
