If the baby is really a girl, does that mean that it got the wrong size band on it's leg, one that is too small??? I thought the band sizes were different for male and female.

Yes I know Ljames, and I asked Christer Strid about it.
Christer answered me that they use only one size, that suits on males as well as females.

But since I placed the pics of june 30 with Hampus and Linnea one after each other, I do hesitate again, Hampus is a lot smaller than Linnea still...

This morning:
a rainy day and quite windy.
Hampus stays in a big while before leaving this time.1
Haven't seen any adults.

Thanks for that response adriaantje . I was worried about that. And thanks for the pictures and video. Baby is looking more and more like Mom every day.

This is so amazing. It's one of those nests you will remember in the future and say ' I knew of a nest once that had a juvie mother and everything was fine'. :flirty:

Right Ljames, very exceptionnal!

This morning no sign of Hampina.
The weather must be fine in Helsingborg!

I stil cannot determinate gender for Hampina.
We just have to catch her together with Linnea.
But as it seems she is nourrishing her outside now, this probably wil take some time.

Edit: There is a message on the KOF site from Christer Strid, confirming it's a girl!!!!!!
So Hampina it is!!

Rager again. This time he still is in the box right now.
Hampina was born on May 25. Mayby she fledged?

Yesterday evening at 9:50 PM Rager was stil in the box.
And Hampina...? She fledged!
There was a message from Christer Strid telling us this a while ago.

I believe she probably fledged yesterday at the time Rager came into the box for the first time.
So we now have the confirmation this is the reason why Rager is so often at the box:
protecting his brooding territory.

Rager this morning:

Rager stayed until night yesterday, and even took a nice long nap!

Image

Today it's Linnea staying at the box.
It seems to me she has a little problem on her left foot, zhe keeps it "hanging out" quite often.

Linnea left at 15:30 local time.

This morning

At 06:54 Am: is this Rager in the box?

Image

As the cam freezes as usual, the first new picture I can see appears at 07:00.
It appears there is another Peregrine in the box, and this would not be Linnea, nor Rager.
I wondered who could be there.. formal female Axa? or........

ImageImage

ImageImage

ImageImage

Then I finally saw the bands: green on the Right and red on the Left.....
while Linnea has a Blue band on the right (and also a red band on the left).

ImageImage

ImageImage

Just after this last picture she left.
I will try to find out who this was, and where she came from.

Edit: it seems nevertheless the green color must be blue in reality in fact. Nowhere in Scandinavia they band with green bands. Thus.... it is most likely that it was Linnea in the box :sunno:

I do recognize her as Linnea on the last picture.
