The Eye sits right on the Thames in London and is much bigger than this. Each car holds I'd say 30 people.

I was thinking that Nottingham was a neighborhood in London, but now I remember, Nottingham goes with Robin Hood, right? :-)

Google maps; the A marks Nottingham.

Maybe the Ferris wheel is put there for the upcoming festivities in connection with the royal wedding next month???
The Newton building is on the South Sherwood street and the cam is looking south towards Queen street. Further down that street you end up on Nottingham Square. That is probably where the Ferris wheel is.
The building at the left of the cam-view is a centre with cafés and restaurants. One of them, on the ground floor is called "T.G.I. Friday"

(I looked it up in Google Earth  )

DEF, thanks for the geography lesson on this area! Wonder if the T.G.I. Fridays is part of the chain we have here...

I think it's called the Nottingham Eye. :-)

You know, sometimes I don't even see the other falcon sitting of the ledge for a few minutes.

Glad to see that Worchester has a cam again this year. Last year there wasn't one, so maybe they were saving up for a super-duper one this year! :sham3:
