I too love Canada's fostering policy! Very heartwarming scenes--thanks, everyone!

our head man here, Gord, is very much with what is best for the peregrine. He was interested as a boy and became part of the recovery program as an older teenager and then became a biologist, with his doctorate. They call him the peregrine man, but he is much more. He got our grizzly on the protected list, last year. If we ever lose him, it might be a different story.
They have been fostering since ever I can remember. The only time it did not work ,was last year at Genesse, and that was because they missed the window of their hormonal interest. And they did not know that because they did not know they had abandoned their eggs because they did not know where they were till too late.

Peregrine family adds adoptees
Provincial wildlife status biologist Gordon Court facilitated the heartwarming moment by bringing the two chicks from nests in Edmonton.

NIce shots SGB. Good to see young one at Harlequin

REd deer

Gord said they put the chicks up Sat morning. He said it was so funny because the adult female went in and tried feeding them small pieces like you would a newborn chick. She soon realized she had to give bigger bits.

He really thought hard before taking male from Bell as that female there(at Bell) is really good but the young one will grow much better in Red Deer and he wanted to give them chicks .

:thumbegg: that you caught a feed . I never seem to click in at right time

I was reading some of the comments on the side from those who were watching the chicks after first placed here and they said that Perry went screeching like crazy telling Windsong to get food fast.

We were discussing yesterday about some of the comments made on Red deer site. that is why I do not go on chats. I guess th ecomment you stated was made in fun, but some of the comments :sunhohum:

I make comments on Weber site to give information before people make silly comments.

This in the comment section also, well chat section really, their arrival at Red Deer.

They have a feeding right now. I think that they are use to their new home and new mother.

How sweet they are
