I'M GLAD TO SEE I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE THAT THOUGHT THEY WERE BEING JUMPY TODAY! I KNOW SOMETHING WAS GOING ON, NOT SURE WHAT, BUT SOMETHING AND I DO THINK AT ONE POINT, THAT WAS NB THAT CAME TO THE LEDGE WITH NIECEY. I COULDN'T SEE BANDS AND HE SAT BACKWARDS ON THE STICK LIKE NIECEY DOES, BUT SHE WAS NEAR THE SCRAPE AT THE TIME I COULD TELL BECAUSE SHE'S LARGER.

Thanks ljames for the pictures. Sure wish we were in the "Falcon Link". Jane, thanks for going down there as it had to be SOOO cold. And last , but not least, thanks for all the video's and time spent on them Reenie. I will watch them this afternoon when I get home from work. Sun isn't up yet, but looks like we might see it today. Hope this scenario works it's self out peacefully.

Haven't seen anyone yet today. :cold: only 22 where I am and that's 7 miles from Harrisburg. Maybe if the sun comes out, which its trying, someone may show up. We went across 581 to the Carlisle Pike and I saw 2 hawks sitting together on a light. At least I thought they were hawks. When we came back across the same way they were still sitting there. Got to see the backs of them and they were pretty dark. Maybe something else? I've seen a falcon in that area before. Need to keep bins in the car. :happynewyear: Everyone have a safe and happy new year. Hubby has to work at 4, but hopefully he'll be home before midnight.

AT 11AM THERE WAS A LARGE FALCON, I'M ASSUMING NIECEY, SITTING AT THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER OF OUR ROOF. KINDA LIKE A CHIMNEY THING UP THERE. DIDN'T SEE ANYONE ELSE THOUGH, BUT DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO CHECK THE UNIVERSITY EITHER :-(

ON THE WAY HOME I SAW A BIRD ON TOP OF A LIGHT POLE EATING SOMETHING UP THERE, PULLED OVER TO GET A BETTER LOOK AND IT WAS JUST A CROW, LOL!

Crows have to eat too. :girlyes:

While I'm here, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope it's a good one here at this site for our resident falcons too!

Does anybody remember the end of the movie "Moonstruck" when Cher's character ends up engaged to Nicholas Cage's character instead of his brother, and Cher's grandfather ends up crying in the corner saying, "I'm so confused..."? Oh, gee, trying to get caught up, all I can do is say, like the old man, "I'm so confused...."

Well, try to stay warm everybody, Happy New Year to you all,
fondly,
Finchy :happynewyear:

Finchy, I love that movie! Yes, sometimes these days I am also confused about who is here and who is not. I leave it to the others to do the identifications.

It's so cold here. I hope that wherever our falcons are, that they are in a warm spot for seeing in the new year. Stay warm everyone! :coldwinter:

I remember watching that movie with my daughter when it came out. We laughed so hard and had the most fun and I remember thinking that maybe our family wasn't so dysfunctional after all. I wonder, will there be fireworks here tonight? I hope not. Having a little get together, so I'm off.

:happynewyear:
Everybody :blow:

THEY WILL BE DROPPING A STRAWBERRY AT THE HILTON I THINK, BUT I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANY FIREWORKS. I BET THOSE PEOPLE WILL BE FREEZING, BUT I GUESS THEY WILL HAVE ENOUGH ANTIFREEZE, I MEAN ALCOHOL IN THEM TO KEEP THEM WARM :-) EVERYONE BE SAFE! HOPING TO SEE THE FALCONS TOMORROW, DON'T THINK THEY SHOWED AT ALL AGAIN TODAY EXCEPT WHEN I SAW NIECEY ON THE ROOF AT 11AM.
