Isn't that honking a hoot? This is the first Female that has done that right? Each one brings it's own new things. So nice to watch these two. Thanks for the early morning posts Reenie. Have a good day all and stay cool. The Gala Falcon Watch is in Wilmington this afternoon. Hope it isn't too hot! Will be going down. Hope the Girls, RG and CJ are around.

I'm late in replying, Reenie, but the cam is out for me too -- at noon still.

No problem with cam here for me. Tuned in at 1255 to see lil dad atop his cam perch and Niecey peeking in the back door of the scrape

Loved seeing Reenie in the news--and it is always a joy to tune in when "someone is home"--or learn about what has been going on when I have had to miss. Right now the camera perch is occupied (so sweetly!).

4:45 Both are there one at the end of the stick and the other near the Point End. Difficult for me to determine as I only see the back of the one on the stick and half of the other one.

Looks like Niecey is on the point, de-feathering a big white bird. I wonder what it is.

Faith, this is apparently the first female at this nest that has honked, but honking was a trademark of a female who spend several years at the Elk River nest. She would get into the nestbox & go to the end with the cam, then look into the cam & honk! She disappeared last year & many of us were very sad about that. It was wonderful to watch her raise her babies.
