:laugh

I nearly died laughing when I read this.

Reminds me of the time alcoa posted that picture of the new nestbox and I sat there watching it forever, like a falcon was going to show up or something. I even thought that I saw movement a couple of times. :sunconfused:

Thankful, it's perched while looking at the glass and not flying into glass. I saw from the blog one was rescued. Anyone know why? Injuries?

He/she was on the "nest box building" w/ parent on WF building. Left the nest building and came to roof of WF building. Stretched wings on the roof for 5 mins or so then flew off. I took LOTS of screen shots!! Fun to watch.
Great captures this morning sgb. WF building must be the choosen roof top today. :hapdance:

Found two of them on the WF roof at 12:30pm EDT. While the cam was acting on it's own accord I missed the first one leaving. The remaining one wing flapped and then left.

July 16 update from Boonshoft:

Over the past week Apache was spotted from the roof of the Liberty Tower and was flying well. Torpedo has been observed on the 16th floor of the Liberty Tower. There have been no signs of any problems or injuries with the falcons. The young peregrines will still need close observation in downtown Dayton. They have passed their first hurdle but are still inexperienced flyers and over the next few weeks will need to hone their skills. Daniel and Dayton will pass pre-caught birds to the youngsters in the air so they can practice their hunting skills and agility. This time is a good time to view the falcons in flight in downtown Dayton. As long as none of the young peregrines need human assistance they will stay in the area until the end of summer. When Apache and Torpedo have enough skills they will leave Daniel and Dayton to find their own territories and hopefully one day raise young of their own.
