In case you missed it, here's a short video of the girls in the nest box. CJ joins them after a little while.

Wonderful pictures from today, Kim. I couldn't see any bands on that intruder either. Am baffled about the prey CJ has. Thought maybe a mocker, but it doesn't look big enough. And loved the video of CJ and the girls in the box. I think Faith's cat likes watching, too.

Your right Jane, when I saw Kim's post, I thought I have to write that Missy does that same thing with her paw. Every morning she checks the birds with me.

Kim, your coverage and pictures are magnificent. All that action. Am missing the "girls" when they are outside! Soon will be down there.

Greg, your Eagle story is breathtaking. I bet Betty was in awe. Oh! For a moment like that.

This is after CJ chased away the intruder.

. . . .

Another Blue Jay. Kaufman's field guide has a photo where you can see the underside of the tail. Dark base, white end, with dark line extending into the white in the middle. Same pattern.

Great pictures, and love the video, Kim! And my cat Leela watches the cam with me and bats at whatever moves too. She also loves to watch hockey. Isabel doesn't even notice anything on the screen.

Can't believe how big the girls are getting. Nice ID on the prey, Greg. I was thinking "long legs - sandpiper", lol. Maybe someday I'll get better at ID, maybe if the find a cure for aging eyes!

Kim - What a treat to see your awesome photos, your cute kitty watching the falcon cam, and the girls back in the nest being fed by CJ yesterday! My last cat never watched the falcons on my computer, but he loved to put his paw on a key and watch numbers or letters fly across the screen. (He also loved to watch tennis matches on TV, where he'd try to catch the tennis balls.)

Greg - Thanks for your eagle sighting story and for identifying the bird that CJ was carrying.

The only reason I knew is because I saw my cat looking at my computer monitor! LOL! She loves to watch them!

:hahah :laugh2 One of my cats does the same thing (in fact I usually have to move her out of the way, since she blocks my own view!).

Fantastic pics!! :thumbup

Hey! Where are You? I know, out there looking at the BIG World. They will be all grown up next time we see them! LOL! I guess they come in for the night, but I haven't caught that yet!

I spotted 3 of the 4 girls in the nest box just now, but Little Red was the only one to move completely into view.

The 3 girls are still there, and one's really flapping . . . I can't believe the size of her wingspan!

Great catches, Ethel. I feel so bad that I've not had more time to watch, as I've been spending a lot of time watching what's going on in Harrisburg.

Wow! Ethel! Good catch! Boy look at those wings. Can't believe all of that is tucked in against their bodies so neat.

The girls have been taking turns flapping and attacking feathers in the nest box! Check out all the feathers flying around from Yellow Band's flapping! LOL!!!

This one of Red Band is pretty funny too!

They are priceless Kim. Red Girl2 is a lot darker than Yellow Girl. Wow, the feathers flying around are a hoot! Send some down on the roof when we're there soon. LOL!
