11:23 No sight or sound of anyone on the ledge at this time. Only sounds of the City.

GREAT CATCHES HEIDA AND ASE! THEY USUALLY DON'T SHOW UP UNTIL AROUND 5:30. EVEN WHEN THE SUN IS OFF THE LEDGE, THAT STONE HOLDS HEAT FOR A LONG TIME! GUESS I'LL GO WALK THE TREADMILL AND GET THAT OVER SO I CAN SEE THEM WHEN THEY DO SHOW UP AGAIN :-)

Haven't caught a falcon at home every time I've checked today. It's 103 degrees here at the moment. :girlhot: Sky is getting dark to the north, and storms will likely arrive here after a while.

Hello! Had a moment to check out the camera and was treated to a lovely long display between Lil Dad and Niecy in the scrape. Then one of them perched on top of the camera and the other sat for the longest time in beautiful closeup view at the end of the ledge. I got several screen captures, but his/her head is chopped off! That bird sure is hot, with wings out and panting hard.

This shot is from the same time as described, but she is bending over so I could get all of her in. Looks as though she is considering the old prey. Yes, she was panting like crazy. I can't remember if there are any fountains around there where they might cool off. Of course there is the river, but by the time they fly back from there, they'd be hot again.

The birds are suffering down here too. I have turned on the sprinkler system 3 or 4 times in the last week just to help the birds and I live on a lake. They love it, but the water bill will skyrocket if I'm not careful.

Wanted to wait until the storm went by before getting on here. At my place it barely wet the sidewalk. Looks like it came down pretty good downtown. Niecey is on the point and looks soaked. Lil Dad high and dry on the shield. It has cooled off to 91. And I guess the falcons could cool off in the big fountain over behind the Capitol if they wanted to. Don't know if falcons do that or not.

Great pictures of Niecey today!

We hit a bad storm on the way home from Allentown this afternoon, but wouldn't you know it, it hadn't rained at home. Finally, after we'd been home about an hour, we did get the storm, but the rain only lasted about 10 minutes.

Well, I haven't been on here do to the threat of a storm. A few drops of rain and that is all we got.It was thundering. Phila. got it as they delayed the game an hour. Nice to see both of the Falcon's. I did see Niecey shaking off the water from her feathers. It is unbelievable how hot it is. Can hardly breath. Glad I watered at 8:00 this morning. All our birds have their mouths open wide. Have to change the birdbath water to cool it down.

NIECEY JUST FLAPPED ALOT ON THE POINT, HELD HER WINGS OUT AND THEN TOOK OFF. I THINK SHE'S HUNGRY MAYBE? THEY COULD PROBABLY STIR UP SOME PIGEONS BY ONE OF THE BRIDGES AND GET THEM FLYING SO THEY COULD CATCH ONE :-)

LIL DAD LEFT TOO WHILE I WAS TYPING.
