I'm so glad to read that Mom is getting the hang of feeding those teeny tiny mouths. :girlluv:

These cute little tykes are waiting patiently, mouths open, for mom or dad to return with some food. What a difference a day can make! These two are all fluff, and look peppy and healthy. The third egg is front and centre, but I do not think it is going to hatch, now.

I watched a feeding earlier and she did an excellent job. Patiently placed bites into their mouths, took back pieces that were too big, took turns, talked to them to eat more, etc. One of the chicks was actually taking food from her a bit.

:egg11: Remember when Mom rolled right over the egg & babies in 2010, she pulled it off very graceful

I can clearly see a crack in the egg (sorry, I cannot do pictures here), but I don't know if this is because we are having a hatch, or because the egg is falling apart.

I was jusr reading over at RRP that the 3rd egg was hatching boy that is a pretty big space for it I sure hope it will be OK if it is a hatch

Yes, was it ever a perfect moment! When mom arrived, dad had quite a long conversation with her about his day and the chicks and how things went, then she gave him a kiss and he took off. I know we are not supposed to humanize events here, but I swear this is what happened.

I agree! Funny how less than a week ago, dad couldn't wait for mom to return because he didn't know what to do! :egg5:

Huge crops on those little ones!
